Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is the library?
A: 325 N. Wells Street, 6th Floor.

Q: What are the library hours?
A: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Q: Where can I find theses/dissertations?
A: ProQuest is our largest source of dissertations and theses.

Q: I’m looking for articles.  Where should I start?
A: ProQuest is a great source for dissertations, theses and business psychology articles.  EBSCO currently holds the vast majority of our full-text articles online.  In EBSCO, make sure you click “Choose Databases” and “Select All” to ensure you are searching the full collection and not just PsychInfo.

Q: How can I reset my password?
A: You can reset your password through the IT portal in eGo.

Q: How can I add SPSS to my computer?
A: You can check out a physical copy in the library, or download the program here.

Q: Where can I make photocopies?
A: There are copiers in the library, and on the 5th floor.

Q: Can I check my email/work on a paper in the library?
A: Yes, there are six computers that have access to Microsoft Word and other programs for your use.  You can also print from those computers.  Additionally, you can access your email on those computers and three others in the library.

Q:  How do I find the full-text of an article?/Why isn’t my article available in full-text?/Why is the web site asking me to pay for the article?

The Ebsco and ProQuest databases include both indexed items (not in full text) and full-text items.   Both databases give you an option to filter for only full-text articles by checking the full-text box.  If the full text of an article is not available through the library subscription databases, please check Google/Google Scholar, since the full text of an article may be freely available online. If you end up on a website that is asking you to pay for an article, do not pay but rather, request the article via the library’s Interlibrary Loan service.
